Nikita Bedunkevich founded Cropler in December 2022 after a pivotal realization during his six years as Head of Hardware Development at OneSoil, a leading satellite monitoring company. Despite advances in image processing technology, Nikita observed a critical deficit in "ground truth" data—the actual field-level information needed to validate satellite observations and make informed agricultural decisions. He recognized that weather and satellite data alone, no matter how sophisticated, could not provide the quality monitoring necessary for reliable decision-making in agriculture. The problem was clear: farmers and agronomists needed eyes in the field, not just eyes in the sky. After conducting extensive market analysis and engaging with potential customers, Nikita and his team developed a portable, compact, yet extremely intelligent agricultural camera. The innovation lay in combining real-time photo monitoring from the field with satellite data integration, creating a comprehensive monitoring solution that provides the missing "ground truth" layer. In December 2022, Cropler Sp. z o.o. was officially founded in Warsaw, Poland. Within a year, the company launched commercial production, developed a user-friendly web platform, and began worldwide distribution. Drawing on Nikita's experience from OneSoil and his earlier work as CEO of LiveColoring, Cropler's cameras quickly gained traction across markets. Today, with operations in over 22 countries spanning Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia, Cropler serves agronomists who need complete field data, seed and fertilizer dealers seeking to improve customer service, and agricultural holdings requiring tools to assess the quality of agronomic decisions. Nikita's vision of providing genuine ground truth data has transformed how precision agriculture integrates satellite and field-level monitoring.
