SymphonyVision Spot is a Precision Planting sprayer upgrade that uses cameras to adjust application to detected weeds. It can stop individual nozzles where no weeds are detected, then apply an operator-defined rate according to weed severity. Manufacturer system comparison.
Retrofit requirements
The manufacturer describes a foundation of SymphonyNozzle control and the 20|20 system. Spot uses closer camera spacing than SymphonyVision Rate; the published recommendation is one camera every five feet. The number of cameras therefore depends on the boom. Retrofit overview.
Application choice
Precision Planting describes corn, soybean and cotton applications. Discuss the crop, treatment programme and sprayer configuration with the dealer. Spot should be distinguished from Duo, which adds hardware for simultaneous broadcast and spot application. Savings depend on field conditions and weed pressure; published examples are not a fixed saving for every farm.
